Directions from SS3

When travelling along the SS3 follow these steps to reach the village of Pettino for your Truffle Hunting experience:

Take the Campello sul Clitunno exit onto SP457 and turn east towards the mountain range. You should enter a roundabout at the top of the exit ramp. Exit the roundabout towards Campello sul Clitunno (SP457).
Follow SP457 about 400m towards the T intersection and then turn right on Viale Settecamini.
Follow Viale Settecamini for about 300m towards Viale Trento e Trieste (SP458/1) on your left. You should see two blue signs indicating Campello sul Clitunno and another for Pettino.
Continue along Viale Trento e Trieste (SP458/1). After 1km you will reach a square (Piazza Ranieri) where you will find a fork. At this fork veer towards the right.
As you continue on this road you will notice the road will narrow and you will drive between some buildings in the town of Clitunno. After 130m you will reach an intersection (reverse fork) where you will need to go straight (or veer right).
Continue on this road (SP458/1) for another 15.5km until you reach the town of Pettino. This will be a windy sometimes narrow road going up the mountain. At times you may wish to stop at a lookout and take some breathtaking pictures of the Umbria valley.
Once you see the first buildings in Pettino (to your left), continue straight along SP458/1 for another 1.5km until you find Via di Pettino (gia’ Bregnole) to the right. Turn on to this street and you have arrived to where the Truffle Hunting day begins.
